Getting the commute on...

Today I got my commute on.  Its been a while since I did the ride into work on my bike.  Its usually been in the car.  What I noticed today is that actually it saved me around about 6 minutes by cycling rather than driving.

Not only that it made me feel amazing, invincible.  So it made me start thinking - why dont I do this more often.  It really is mind over matter.

I say this because i hate the thought of having to pack a bag and get myself organised prior to the ride.  However that said... its not that bad.

I do admit that I have a fear of creases in my shirt.  I hate it.  I hate it when I tramline my shirt sleeves.  I am particular in my shirts.

There are many positives to undertaking a commute on bike.  It clears your mind, you feel invincible and you take in so much in your environment.  Its like you senses are getting smacked around making you realise of the beauty we live around.

I always panic about what I have and havent packed.  Below is a list of things that I take with me to make me prepared:

  • Trousers
  • Shirt
  • Pants
  • Socks
  • Deodorant
  • Hair product
  • Shower Gel
  • Towel
  • Shoes
  • Contact Lenses & Glasses

Enjoy it. Its worth getting your head over it, get prepared the night before and ride in.
