Yorkshire Mashin’ has been an idea in the making for several years. Only now in 2019 do we feel we can pull it off to the standard we want. Reserve the 14th and 15th September in the diary as we take you on a trip across Yorkshire.
The format of the day is to remain as a social club ride. We are limiting numbers and will ask for people’s ability and average speed as part of the sign up process. Our aim is to set up groups to enable riding together and to enable camaraderie between riders. This shouldn’t be easy but it is achievable. As part of the ride there will be digital content created, and published across all our platforms.
Social Ride Format - between 6 and 8 riders per group.
Leave from The Commute Cafe, Ilkley on 14th September
Arrive at Filey Brigg Campsite
Camp and BBQ.
Return either by Cycling or Car (if booked)
BBQ will be organised by the ride organisers
Tents and Sleeping Bags will be transported from The Commute Cafe to Filey Brigg Campsite and back. Riders will not need to carry their camping equipment or an overnight bag.
The cost of the event is purely the price of the tent pitch approximately £26. This will be paid on the day and will not be processed through our website. We are working with the campsite to negotiate a cheaper rate.
In order to offset this cost we are creating digital media for our partners who are sponsoring this event. See rider criteria for further information.
Riders must always wear helmets
The rider accepts liability for their actions and is wholly responsible for their own safety throughout this ride.
Riders must ride in a group and cannot undertake any individual endeavours.
Riders must agree to their photo and video of them being used across digital media and printed media for ourselves true cycling limited and our partners on this ride.
The rider must bring their own tent or have sharing arrangements
Riders must do as the organiser tells them, or they will be ejected from the event
